FW 50+ thermal insulation system for vertical glass facades

FW50+ is an aluminium profile system with thermal insulation, outer cover strip and 50 mm wide inner profile. Ideal for design and construction of glass facades with various glass sizes and shapes. Addition of doors and windows and use of various glass types enables to achieve a unique result. All this is easy due to the fact that the depth of the facade profiles can be selected from 50 – 250 mm profiles, depending on the need and static calculations.

Thermal resistance of facades has become a constantly more important issue. Now, if higher requirements of thermal insulation are applied to facades, according to the calculations, the profile systems FW50+.1, FW50+.HI or FW50+.SI should be used if the FW50+ appears to be insufficient. Thermal resistance will mainly depend on the density of glass partitions and the U-value of the glass.

FW50⁺.SI (Super Insulation)

  • Maximum thermal conductivity of the profile from Uf=0.7 W/m²K
  • Facade system meeting the requirements of a passive house
  • Reflective surface under the pressure slat of glass reduces energy losses
  • Innovative thermal insulator made of PP foam rubber
  • Glass thickness 24 – 64 mm

FW50⁺.HI (High Insulation)

  • Thermal conductivity of the profile from Uf=1.0 W/m²K
  • Foam rubber strip under the pressure slat reduces energy losses
  • Thermal insulating material is polythermide® with added foam rubber strips
  • Glass thickness 24 – 50 mm

FW50⁺.1

  • Thermal conductivity of the profile from Uf=1.3 W/m²K
  • Thermal insulating material is polythermide® with added EPDM rubber strips
  • Glass thickness 24 – 50 mm

FW50⁺

  • Thermal conductivity of the profile from Uf=1.6 W/m²K
  • Thermal insulating material is polythermide®
  • Glass thickness 20 – 50 mm

FW 50+ AOS system for facades with additional steel construction

  • Versatile planning possibilities due to broad range of cover strips and inner bearing profiles
  • Optimum weatherability due to outer aluminium cover strip
  • Possibility to combine with window and door blocks
  • Possibility to construct large bridges
  • Easy to complete due to steel main construction, with weld or screw connections

FW 50+SG constructional glazing

  • Profiles are visible only from the interior
  • Slim external joints, without outer cover strip
  • Possibility to combine with standard FW 50+ cover strip system

FW 50+ BF fire resistant facade

  • Slim external appearance due to profile width of only 50 mm
  • Excellent design possibility – no difference in the appearance of standard and fire resistant facades
